Who We Are
We are a Southern Baptist Church that has been in our community for over 50 years. A lot has changed in our society during that time, but one thing that has not changed at Grace is the consistent, vibrant, down-to-earth preaching and teaching of the Bible, God's holy, infallible Word.

Grace Baptist is made up of ordinary people like you. Our congregation has homemakers, policemen, firemen, laborers, garbage collectors, teachers, nurses, bankers, lawyers, steelworkers, construction tradesmen, truck drivers, roofers, mailmen, plumbers, secretaries and many others. We also have several people who have retired from these and other occupations. We are all people just trying to do our best to raise our families, and make Portage a better place to live.

However, we also find the time to worship God on a regular basis. We take advantage of the many opportunities and programs available at the church to learn and grow in our knowledge and relationship with Jesus Christ. If you are seeking a better understanding of God, or need direction in life, I am sure we have a ministry that will provide for your individual needs.
